"My name is Fred Lukiv, I have been painting for many, many years, became a professional in 1960s, and have been registered as a B.C., Canada, artist since 1977. I was raised in the Canadian Rocky Mountains and spent the summers with my Father who worked as a section Forman for the railroad company, and my two brothers. The wilderness was my playground until I was eleven when our family relocated to the Fraser Valley. My acrylic and oil paintings on stretched canvas are all originals inspired by the Canadian outdoors.

 

In the 1970s I had an artist agent looking after my work, Knox Picture Agency, who was approached by Eaton’s Department Store to sell all of my work exclusively. Other business interests became pressing so I slowed down the brush strokes until 86. I am 91 years old now and still get much joy from painting."
